CONFIDENTIALITY IN THERAPY

At Vantage Therapy, the therapist/client relationship is strictly confidential. This means that any information shared during therapy sessions cannot be disclosed to another person or entity without your explicit written consent. We take your privacy very seriously and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality. However, there are certain legal exceptions to this rule. In specific situations, such as cases of suspected abuse, threats of harm to oneself or others, or court orders, a therapist may be required to share information with the appropriate authorities. For a comprehensive understanding of confidentiality and its limits, you can read more about it here.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Under federal law (section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act), you have the right to a “good faith estimate” for your expected medical care costs while you are in therapy. At Vantage Therapy, we provide this estimate both orally and in writing when you begin therapeutic services. The good faith estimate outlines the anticipated costs of your therapy sessions, but please note that it is only an estimate and actual costs may vary. If there is a significant discrepancy between the estimated and actual costs, you have the right to initiate the patient-provider dispute process to address any concerns.
